Antonio Conte has performed a miracle at Inter. Says his former Juventus teammate Nicola Amoruso. When Inter decided to sign Conte last year, they had only one objective in my mind which was to win silverware. The move totally made sense because they were bringing in a manager who has a history of winning in his whole career. He has won three Scudetti with Juventus. A premier league title and the FA Cup with Chelsea and has also coached the Italian National team.
Conte did not win any silverware in his first season. But he took Inter to the Europa League finals. He missed out on Scudetto by just one point and reached the semi-finals of Coppa Italia. He brought a new philosophy and they finally looked ambitious. Now in this season, they are the favourites for winning the scudetto. He has helped Inter take the next step after Spalletti got them into the Champions League in back-to-back seasons. While Conte’s side are currently six points clear at the top of the table.

“Conte has completely transformed Inter’s mentality in two years,” said Nicola, who had a quite long career in Serie A. He argued in an interview with the Italian broadcaster, Sky Sport Italia last night. “He is heavily criticized and I find it strange because he has worked a miracle. “Inter have an identity, they have clear ideas and are mentally strong. “It is unlikely that they will let their opponents get back into this title race now.”
What stands out is the confidence the board has in him. They shell out money when he wants, like for the transfer of Lukaku and Hakimi. They have changed the Inter side completely and have proved to be great investments. Conte has a contract until the end of next season.
