Inter beat Sassuolo in a six-goal thriller and move to the third spot in Serie A. It was a crucial game for the Nerazzurri sandwiched between the two legs of the Champions League final. Inzaghi had to go with a different lineup to keep his key players fresh. They had a rough start and were saved by the VAR check that ruled out Berardi’s goal. But in the second half, Inter went a gear up to finish the game off. Sassuolo did make the game alive with their two goals, but Inter won comfortably in the end.

Rogerio then found Frattesi in the box with his cross, and the Italian midfielder made it 3-2 to make the game exciting. However, Lukaku finished the game with a powerful strike from a tight angle. He completed his brace on his birthday and get three crucial points.
