Inter beat Torino 3-0 to regain their top spot in the Serie A rankings. The Nerazzurri lost their position before the international break following an embarrassing 2-2 draw against Bologna. However, their top guns fired again yesterday to give them another victory on the road. Lautaro and Thuram’s duo got their name on the scoresheet again followed by a late penalty from Calhanoglu to make it 3-0.
Inter Milan did start the game brilliantly and were dominating for the first half hour. Torino were struggling to get out of their half and create chances. But Inter dropped their intensity levels, and Torino got into the game. The home crowd gave the hosts some energy, and Sommer had to make a couple of sharp stops. The hosts had former Inter players on the flanks as Raoul Bellanova and Valentino Lazaro were supplying. Bellanova managed to beat Dimarco to send a cross in the box before halftime. Inter then came back into the game and pushed bodies forward with more intensity. Lautaro scored another goal of this season following a corner. The Argentine striker managed to lose his marker and place a header in the net to double the lead.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts as Ivan Ilic brought Mkhitaryan down in the box. The Nerazzurri’s penalty-taker specialist did not disappoint from the spot and buried in the left corner to finish the game on 3-0.
