Inter can sign Romelu Lukaku again but Piero Ausilio says there is one condition. They will only take him on loan as Inter are satisfied with their current set of players. After losing their star man in the transfer window, many were doubting Inter. But the Nerazzurri are currently at top of the table and are looking good with their new manager.
Inter were struggling financially so they had to sell Hakimi in the transfer window but they wanted to keep Lukaku. So Inter’s directors were in shock when the Belgian said that he wants to move. However, Inter got €115 million for him and are now happy with their present squad.
Everyone expected Lukaku to help Chelsea in their title pursuit and were calling him the missing piece in Chelsea’s squad. But the Belgian could not keep up with Premier League’s pace and got out due to injury. He is slowly coming back but he does not look like the player he was with Inter.
Inter can sign Lukaku on loan
Lukaku was Inter’s key player last season and helped them to win the Scudetto after a decade. Under Conte, the Belgian realized his true potential and made a formidable pair with Lautaro upfront. His movements helped Inter to move up as he used to drop and create space for his teammates. Also, his ball-holding ability gave some time to Lautaro to make runs. The Belgian wants to return to Serie A again after some time. His agent said that he loves Milan and he could come back after his stint with Chelsea is over.
Inter are currently focusing on renewing their key players’ contracts. They have managed to extend Barella, Lautaro, and Bastoni’s contract despite their economic issues. And are now working on Brozovic’s contract as Inzaghi wants to keep the Croatian.
