They will now face another Portuguese side Benfica, who have been in terrific form this season. Inter could have drawn anyone, including AC Milan, as the restriction to face a club of the same country lifts after the Round of 16. The Nerazzurri fans are glad they are not facing giants like Bayern, Man City, or Madrid. However, Benfica are regarded as the dark horse this season.
The Portuguese side have reached the quarter-finals with ease. They topped the group that included Paris Saint Germain and Juventus. Also, they thrashed Club Brugge 7-1 over the two legs of the Round of 16. Goncalo Ramos and the former Inter midfielder Joao Mario are in fine touch. The Portuguese striker has seven goals and three assists in the Champions League so far.

Milan derby could take place in the semi-finals of the Champions League if both Inter and Milan win their respective games. The Rossoneri are up against the Serie A leaders Napoli. Inter will have to travel to Lisbon for the first leg of the quarter-finals.
