Inter eye Divock Origi as the club look for a striker to complete Conte’s attack. He is Inter’s first target in the list of strikers they have in mind. Origi began his career with Genk’s youth academy and played for them for nine years. In 2010, he signed for Lille and turned down Manchester United’s offer. He was only 15 when he became a part of the club. Liverpool got him for £10 million on a five-year contract. However, he was immediately loaned back to Lille for the 2014-15 season. He joined Liverpool again in 2015. He made his first competitive debut for the club in a 6-1 win against Southampton where he scored a hat-trick.

Further, in 2017, Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg signed Origi on a season-long loan. He scored 6 goals in his loan spell with the club. In 2018, he returned to the Reds and scored a goal against city rivals Everton. Nonetheless, Origi played a significant role for the club in the 2019 UEFA Champions League final. Inter are after Divock Origi as Conte wants a backup for his star striker Romelu Lukaku. The Nerazzurri have been keeping a close eye on the Liverpool outcast for a while. The club wanted to sign the 25-year-old in the winter transfer window. However, with their financial struggles, Inter decided to not make any new signings in the winter window.

While Inter wanted to have Origi at the cost of Eriksen, the transfer couldn’t take place. Origi and Lukaku share the same dressing room in the Belgian National team. However, even after coming to Inter, he would have to fight for a spot aside from Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, and Lautaro Martinez. Inter are nine-points clear on top of the Serie A table and are moving closer to the Scudetto with 11 matches remaining.
