Inter fear losing Skriniar to Man United and Spurs

Inter fear losing Skriniar, so they will try to tie him down to a new contract. The Nerazzurri are aware of the interest from Man United and Tottenham Hotspur, and hence they want to extend his contract. This will increase his transfer value, and Inter will be able to keep him for the coming seasons. The Slovakian defender’s current contract will run till 2023. Inter are ready to propose a new contract in which his salary will increase each year from €4.5 million to €5 million. They gave a similar contract to Barella recently, and are now willing to give it to Skriniar.

The Slovakian defender has been rock solid for Inter in defense this season. Skriniar is one of the best defenders in Serie A, and he has helped Inter a lot this season. The 27-year old has covered for De Vrij as well, who has suffered from injuries this season and has faced a dip in his form.

Inter fear losing Skriniar as Man United and Spurs show interest in him

Skriniar is important for Inzaghi’s system as he restricts the opponent’s wingers from getting into dangerous positions. He is positionally aware to come forward and intercept the ball, and he is quick enough to stop the forward if he gets past him. So, this has helped Dumfries to move up the pitch and give more offensive output. Skriniar has played several games in the center of the back three, and he has adapted well to that position.

Man United have struggled defensively this season because of Maguire’s form and Varane’s injuries. They are looking for a quality defender who can solve these problems, and Skriniar is a viable option. Also, Antonio Conte wants to reunite with Skriniar as he knows the Slovakian works well in his back three system.
