Inter star returns after suffering an injury

Inter star returns after suffering an injury earlier this year. Danilo D’Ambrosio plays as a full back for Inter. He joined Inter in the 2013-14 season in a cash plus player deal. Inter paid €1.75 million in cash with the free loan of Matteo Colombi and 50% of the registration right of Marco Benassi. However, Inter also had to pay €1.04 million on top of that for agents and a miscellaneous fee. Soon, he made his debut for the Nerazzurri in the Derby d’Italia in a match against Juventus. Inter lost that match by 3-1.

Furthermore, in the 2015/16 season, he was on the scoresheet for the second time. He scored the second goal before assisting Ivan Perisic’s goal. This helped Inter in getting their second consecutive league win. He signed a contract extension with the Nerazzurri till 2021 on 7 April 2017. The Italian footballer sustained a knee injury in a match against Sampdoria in a 2-1 loss.

Inter star returns to training after a left knee injury in January this year. The Italian footballer might be seen in action soon. He was seen training with the squad post-match after their win against Benevento by 4-0. While Conte has found balance with his current squad, he will have an option. Inter are close to their dream of winning the Scudetto.

The Nerazzurri have not made any new signings this season despite various transfer rumours. In a statement regarding the possibility of new transfers, Conte said he does not want any new signings. He added that he will work with the existing player. However, that seemed nearly impossible considering Conte’s approach towards selection. Conte favours a certain set of players who make their place in the playing squad. However, out of favour Christian Eriksen came in 2 minutes before the end of the match as a substitute. Nonetheless, his stunning derby goal helped Inter make space in the semi-finals.

Inter will face rivals, Juventus next in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Will fans see D’Ambrosio on the field soon?
