Inter target Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on a loan deal as Inter are searching for a defender. The Nerazzurri are close to signing Acerbi but they have not made the final move so far. Chelsea and Inter have done a great deal of business in this summer transfer window. Lukaku made a return to Inter on loan and Casadei was signed by Chelsea recently. The Blues are open to a loan move for Chalobah and can send him to Inter.
The Nerazzurri want a defender who will be comfortable in playing in the back three and will help in rotation. Chalobah fits the role and he can play anywhere across the three positions. The English defender also has experience of playing as a defensive midfielder for Chelsea youth side. The Nerazzurri will be able to give rest to their key players like Skriniar by playing him and will keep their center-backs fresh for the long season.

Chelsea are open to loan out Chalobah to Inter, but the Blues have one condition. Chelsea want to ensure the development of the defender and hence, they want Inter to give him regular game time. Inter are unsure of that as Chalobah will not be a regular starter in the back line. The Nerazzurri are going to use Chalobah as a backup option and will rotate him with other defenders. But the English defender will not get regular playing time.
Inter are close to agreeing to a loan deal with Lazio for Acerbi. But Chalobah will be a better alternative hence they are waiting to make a move. However, Acerbi has experience of playing Serie A, and he has played under Inzaghi as well. While Chalobah will take some time to settle in Serie A and under a new manager.
