Inter Milan are working with AS Roma on a blockbuster trade with 2 days remaining for the end of the transfer window. The deal involves former Manchester United player Alexis Sanchez and Edin Dzeko. Inter are looking for a swap deal with Roma. However, the only issue for Inter is their struggle with finances. Alexis Sanchez joined Inter on loan in the 19/20 season. He made his debut for the club in a match against his former club, Udinese. Inter won the match by 1-0.
Furthermore, the Chilean footballer signed a three-year deal with Inter. He came to Inter on a free transfer. Christian Eriksen could not be traded due to his position in the team. He is a midfielder but he has hardly started a game for Inter. On the other hand, Sanchez has started several times for Inter. Thus, he can take Dzeko’s place for Roma. Dzeko and Sanchez earn almost the same amount of €7.5 million and €7 million respectively. The Nerazzurri can enjoy a 50% discount on taxable income.
Inter working with Roma to fix a Dzeko-Sanchez transfer deal
Inter working with Roma on a transfer deal involving their star striker Sanchez and Dzeko of AS Roma. While Sanchez has been out of form ever since he sustained an injury last year. The striker has been sidelined for the past few games. While Eriksen recently scored a stunning derby goal to make a place for the Nerazzurri in the semi-finals. After which, the possibility of his move away from Inter was refused by Conte. Sanchez is 32 and is not in the playing squad as of now. Thus, Inter will fix a loan deal if the decision of the move is finalized.
There have been rumours of a possible transfer between Dzeko and Eriksen. However, Inter did not want to trade a midfielder for a striker. Dzeko sustained a minor injury recently, but even after getting better, he is not getting playtime. The Bosnian has made 20 appearances and scored eight goals for Roma this season. While Sanchez has scored two goals in 19 appearances for Inter. The Nerazzurri would go ahead with the deal only if they need to shell out the same amount.
