Inter’s appeal rejected regarding Bologna game

Inter’s appeal got rejected and they will have to play against Bologna. Inter wanted three points as Bologna did not show up on time on January 6. But CONI Guarantee Board have said that Bologna VS Inter will take place as Bologna’s camp had a COVID outbreak. Technically, Inter should get three points in normal circumstances as their opponent did not show up. But the Local Health Authority did not let Bologna travel to the game because of the COVID outbreak.

Inter are just two points behind AC Milan with the Bologna game in hand. So, the Nerazzurri can defend the title if they win all the matches but it will be a tough task. Inter will face AS Roma which can be a tricky game as they have a good form in the league. AC Milan have a slightly tough run of games but the title race is still wide open.

The Nerazzurri will have to face Bologna on April 27 as decided by the Italian National Olympic Committee’s Guarantee Board. Atalanta had an appeal for the Torino game too, but they will have to play as well. The Nerazzurri will be confident for this fixture though, as they performed well against Bologna earlier this season. Inter managed to beat them 6-1 at San Siro with a Dzeko brace.

Inter will only get rest for three days after the Bologna match as they will have to face Udinese on the weekend. Inzaghi will have to make some rotations as players might take a toll from this. Also, they will be coming into the Bologna game on the 27th after a possibly tough game with AS Roma on 24th. This tight schedule can make a difference in this part of the season so Inzaghi will have to manage that properly.
