Lautaro Martinez scores against Uruguay in a 3-0 win

Lautaro Martinez scores against Uruguay in the World Cup Qualification match. He helps Argentina to win 3-0 against Uruguay. After a draw against Paraguay on Friday, Argentina would be happy with this result against their neighbours. Lautaro had a muscle strain and hence he could not feature against Paraguay. Argentina missed him as they lacked a focal point at the front. Now against Uruguay, Lautaro took the limelight as he scored and provided an assist too. After his goal, Lautaro got substituted by another Inter player, Correa, who had one shot on target.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring for Argentina after a controlled first half from Argentina. They had 62% possession throughout the match and gave few chances to Uruguay in the first half. Matias Vecino started for Uruguay and gave a cross to Suarez whose volley got denied by the post. Vecino had to defend a lot in the game but he looked positive when he had the ball. In the 44th minute, Lautaro Martinez could not connect his volley from Messi’s chip but the ball, fortunately went to De Paul who finished cleanly to doubled their lead.
