Lukaku or Dybala? Who should Inter go for?

Lukaku or Dybala? Who should Inter go for?

From a lack of options last season to spoilt for options this summer. Inter are in a dilemma every club wishes to be in right now. Whether to sign Lukaku or Dybala or make a move for both? In every scenario, a financially struggling Inter is still proving to be the top choice for star players. While the arrivals of Calhanoglu and Onana on a free last year and this summer respectively have been a boon for Inter, it doesn’t end there. Beppe Marotta is among the very best when it comes to churning out the best of the best deals in the market. And that is the very reason, that Inter are managing to sign players despite financial difficulties.

Lukaku or Dybala? Or should Inter go for both?

Paolo Dybala’s contract with Juventus will end this summer. That means the Argentine striker will be available for free and is willing to join Inter. Dybala has let offers from top Premier League clubs go to join Inter and as per reports will also be taking a pay cut. La Joya has very good relations with Marotta which are helping the move become a reality. With deadwood like Vidal, Vecino and Sanchez among others on their way out, Dybala’s €7 Million per year wage demand can be met.

Although Lautaro Martinez had his best season in Italy, Inter were left in a goal drought in the middle of the season. Furthermore, this became all the more severe with Dzeko dropping out of form. Correa has not been at his best yet. This means that Inter will want to overhaul its attacking options for the next season. Despite being among the best in the business, Dybala’s injury issues cannot be overlooked.

Bring Lukaku Back?

In recent years, Lukaku was among the very best to play for Inter. But his move to Chelsea has left many Interisti upset. As per reports, Lukaku is talking to the Chelsea board personally to push for a move to Inter. But, Inter are in no position to buy him outright now or in the future. The best-case scenario for all parties will be a loan deal. With Lukaku agreeing to a pay cut as well, the loan deal will be affordable for Inter. But, the final decision is in the hands of Chelsea for whom the Belgian striker is a lost investment at this point.

Can Inter sign both? The management is looking to end the window with significant profit and a sustainable wage bill. Signing both Lukaku and Dybala will take a hit on the wage bill. Thus it is highly unlikely that Inter will look to bring both. With recent developments, it looks like Dybala is arriving at Inter rather than Lukaku.
