Martinez to sign new deal with Inter Milan

Lautaro Martinez to sign a new deal at the club despite ditching his agents. As reported by Corriere dello sport. Inter expect Lautaro to follow in the footsteps of Milan Skriniar. He left his manager in 2018 before signing a new contract with the club himself.

Inter intend to increase Lautaro’s annual salary from €2.7 million to €5 million plus add-ons as part of the new deal. There is also a chance that Inter could remove the €111 million release clause from El Toro’s deal. The clause is currently valid for overseas clubs during the first two weeks of July. Although the club’s financial problems means he is not entirely certain to stay. The Rome-based paper warned that Inter would need to sacrifice one or more key players this summer to balance their books. So, Lautaro could therefore be sacrificed if a big offer arrived.
