As a result of the covid cases at the club, Milan’s local health authority has enforced three measures in an attempt to prevent the further spread of the virus. So, the first of these measures, as announced by Inter’s statement, is that Inter must suspend all kinds of activity with their first team for four days, up to and including Sunday, March 21. The second measure is that Inter and Sassuolo will not take part in Saturday’s Serie A match at the San Siro. Also, the third measure is that none of Milan’s players will be going to their national teams for the upcoming international break.

Inter have had a total of 13 players test positive for COVID-19 since the start of the 2020-21 season. Now, in addition to these players, several members of the club staff, including the management, have tested positive. Of the handful of staff to test positive in recent weeks, four have recovered.
