PSG eye Nicolo Barella according to reports in Italy

PSG eye Nicolo Barella once again. In fact, they aren’t the only ones in line. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also eyeing the midfielder. Barella is a youth product from Cagliari Calcio. Further, he came to Inter at a whopping price of  €40 million. At the time, he was the captain at Cagliari and Inter brought him in to enhance their midfield. In 2017, he became the youngest player to wear the captain armband when he was just 20.

The club first got him on a year-long loan with a four-year buy-in contract after the loan period. At the age of 24, Barella is one of the best midfielders in the country. Under Conte’s guidance, Barella has established himself as an important figure of Inter Milan. While every new player needs time to settle in a new space, Barella adapted quickly. In fact, he has only got better with time. In the first season with the club, he made 39 appearances, proving his importance for the Nerazzurri boss.

However, the Italian giants would not be willing to let go of their prized asset. Thus, they would offer a contract extension to Barella. While Barella still has three more seasons left with Inter.

While he still has a few seasons left with Inter, the management would offer a contract extension worth €2.5-€4.5 million per year with an assurance of captaincy. Recently, Dino Zoff praised Barella and said ” he never stops improving”. Inter are leading by 10 points in the Serie A table.
