Romelu Lukaku’s return to be confirmed in few days

Romelu Lukaku’s return to be confirmed soon says Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta. The Nerazzurri are ready to bring the Belgian back on a loan deal from Chelsea. Lukaku’s return to Stamford Bridge did not go well as both club and the player wanted to part ways. However, Inter is not able to sign him permanently so they will bring him on loan to give Inzaghi more options in front. Lukaku played his best football with Inter and he forced his return to Inter in this window.

Lukaku had a decent start in the Premier League but soon he had some injury issues. Thomas Tuchel did not want to change his system and tactics for Lukaku. Hence, the Belgian forward had some difficulty adapting to a new system. Lukaku’s controversial interview where he praised Inter did not help. He was down in the pecking order as Havertz was now the regular starter. Marotta said that Lukaku has done well at Inter and he will have a point to prove.

Lukaku and Lautaro’s brilliant partnership will be on display again from next season. Inter struggled to finish some chances this season and Lukaku will help Inter in those areas. Dzeko who did not perform well in the later stages can help the rotation. Inter are also trying to bring Dybala, so Inzaghi could make some changes in his system. Lukaku’s return is only a matter of time and the Belgian was persistent with a move back.

This transfer saga has helped Inter so far as they got a huge amount for Lukaku last year. Now, they can get him back on loan for £6.9 million. But Lukaku will have to work hard to get back to his levels as his form has dipped in recent times.
