Milan Skriniar contract extension talks will begin soon by Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri are see Skriniar as a key figure in their defense and would like to keep him longer. Inter did not go down with their evaluation of Skriniar in the transfer window when many clubs came to sign him. They have managed to keep him and other key players so far. Inter are now looking to extend his contract or else, he could leave for free next season.
The Nerazzurri are willing to offer a big contract with €6 million wages per season. Inter feels it is important to improve his wages to show his importance on the side. He will be close to Lautaro and Brozovic in terms of wages, and just below Lukaku. After the departure of Sanchez and Vidal, Inter can offer a good contract to their main players as they have some room in the wage bill. However, many clubs will be willing to offer an even better contract to Skriniar if he decides to leave as a free agent. Paris Saint Germain were willing to offer Skriniar €9 million in wages per season.
Milan Skriniar contract extension will take place soon
Inter managed to keep Skriniar this summer despite a long transfer saga with Paris Saint Germain. The Ligue 1 giants did not give a serious bid, so Inter did not sell the Slovenian defender. Also, after losing out on Bremer, it was important to keep Skriniar as it would have been difficult to find a replacement for him. Clubs like Chelsea and Barcelona were also targeting Skriniar, but he decided to stay at Inter. He is currently earning around €3.8 million net per season and will get almost double after his contract extension.
The Slovenian is solid at the back and he holds the back three. De Vrij has been in and out of the team so Skriniar had to cover for his position last season.
