Arturo Vidal can reunite with Conte at Spurs in the next season. Inter are planning to terminate Vidal’s contract at the end of this season. The Chilean midfielder has a contract with Inter till 2023, but Inter have an option to end his contract. Vidal came to Inter from Barcelona for a fee of €1.5 million under Conte and has played for two seasons. His salary has increased every year in his three-year contract with Inter. The Chilean midfielder got €3 million in the 2020-21 season and €8.5 million this season. Also, Vidal can earn €9.5 million next season if he stays.
But Inter are planning to end his contract, and they can do that by giving him €4 million at the end of this season. The Nerazzurri can save €5.5 million this way. His Chilean teammate Sanchez has a similar clause in his contract. Inzaghi does not have Vidal in his plans for the next season as the Chilean will be 35-years old. If Inter Milan decide to end Vidal’s contract, he will most likely reunite with his former boss, Antonio Conte.
Arturo Vidal can reunite with Conte in the next season
Conte has done a decent job at Spurs so far, but he lacks the resources to take his team to the next level. The former Inter manager wants to sign Vidal as he knows his system, and he will also bring some experience into his midfield. Vidal was exceptional at Juve under him and, it helped him to play for some of the biggest clubs in Europe after that. Conte trusts the Chilean midfielder and, Vidal will also like to play in the Premier League before he retires.
Vidal’s exit will make way for a young midfielder in Inter’s squad. Also, the wage bill will come down significantly, which will help Inter in signing a quality player.
