Inter signed Dumfries last year for a low price as they sold Hakimi to Paris Saint Germain. But now, the Dutch defender’s value has increased to €35 million and Inter are reluctant to sell him. Inzaghi has him in his plans for the next season and Inter will not sell him at a low price. Dumfries had some difficulties in adjusting to the new league. The Dutch defender likes to go forward which leaves space behind. But he has improved his game and is now more aware defensively.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich were looking to sign him as a rotation option. Both the clubs have their first-choice full-backs but they wanted to sign Dumfries as a backup. The Dutch defender could have given competition to Reece James at Chelsea and Mazraoui at Bayern Munich.
