Inter and Mateo Retegui agree for a summer move

Inter and Mateo Retegui have found an agreement for a move in the summer transfer window. However, the Nerazzurri are yet to reach an agreement with the Italian striker’s club. Inter will have to wait till June to reach an agreement with Tigre over a permanent transfer of Retegui. But Inter have found an agreement with his representatives. However, Tigre striker has some demands that Inter will have to meet for the transfer move.

Mateo Retegui will join Inter if they manage to qualify for the Champions League. Currently, Inter are down in the sixth position and have a tough road to winning the Champions League. The Nerazzurri will have to find consistency in Serie A to get in the top four, as Lazio, Roma, Juve, and Milan all are in touching distance. Also, Retegui wants Inter to strengthen their squad for the next season. While Inter are looking to make some profit in the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are facing competition from the German side Eintracht Frankfurt. The Bundesliga club have already made an offer to Retegui. Frankfurt are finding a striker to replace Randal Kolo-Muani. However, Retegui will prefer a move to Serie A. Napoli and Lazio are also keen to sign the Italian striker. But, they might not enter the bidding war in summer.

The Nerazzurri will be in the market for a striker, and Edin Dzeko could leave the club. The Bosnian striker has struggled this season and is yet to sign a new contract. Also, Lukaku could return to Chelsea after his loan spell ends. Other European teams are also targeting the Belgian striker for a permanent transfer. So Inter have to sign a forward in the summer. While Retegui is ready for a move to Serie A next season and is waiting for the right team.
