Inter Milan close to sign Samardzic from Udinese as both clubs are working to sort out a few remaining details. The Nerazzurri have been targeting the Serbian midfielder for a while now and could wrap up the signing soon. Inter wants to include Giovanni Fabbian in the deal to lower the transfer fee. This way, Udinese will get a replacement in return, while Inter get their desired target.
Even after signing a replacement for Brozovic, Inter are looking to get another midfielder in their ranks ahead of the long season. Keeping in mind the Nerazzurri have lost Gagliardini in this window, Inter are looking to sign a replacement for him who is physical and adds steel to the midfield.
Inter are also looking to find an agreement with Udinese over the evaluation of Fabbian. Both the clubs will then decide on the buy-back clause for him. The Nerazzurri want to include it in the deal as they do not want to lose his control completely.
Inter close to sign Samardzic with Fabbian in a swap deal
According to reports, Inter are close to agreeing to a deal at €15 million with the inclusion of the Serbian midfielder. The Udinese midfielder has an exciting profile as he ranks high in taking shots and creating chances for his teammates. However, he does not tend to drop and pass the ball around as he attacks the box more often. Something Inter lack in their midfield, as the likes of Calhanoglu and Barella are excellent on the ball in controlling possession.
The Nerazzurri are working to wrap up this signing soon and move to other targets. Inter have to find a competent keeper soon as Handanovic, Onana, and Radu have left the club. Inter are also working to sign a backup striker option, to support Lauatro and Thuram.
