Inter Milan demand €20 million for the Dutch defender, Stefan De Vrij. His contract will end in 2023, and Inter have not started the contract extension talks yet. Inter want to part ways as they feel that De Vrij’s form has dipped recently. So, they could sell him on his last year of the contract for just €20 million. De Vrij has been a consistent performer for Inter in the past few years, but it looks like the club has decided to part ways with him.
The 30-year old had offers from the Premier League in the winter transfer window, but he decided to stay at Inter and compete in various competitions. However, he and his agent might have to find a new club this summer if Inter decide to part ways with him. He has played in Serie A for almost eight years so he could join another top club. Or he can move to Premier League as many English clubs are eyeing his situation at Inter.
Inter Milan will demand €20 million for Stefan De Vrij
De Vrij played under Simone Inzaghi before as well at Lazio. But the Italian manager knows that De Vrij is going through a rough patch. Inter have dropped points recently in the league, and they lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the Champions League. Also, the Nerazzurri are looking to sign players this summer that will help them in the long run. The Dutch International plays an important role, so it will be tough to replace him, but Inter have some players on their radar.
The Nerazzurri are monitoring William Saliba’s situation. The French defender is at Marseille on loan from Arsenal and the Gunners could sell him. Inter Milan are also eyeing the 24-year old Torino’s center-back, Gleison Bremer as a replacement for De Vrij.
