Inter want De Zerbi over Conte to replace Inzaghi

Inter Milan want Roberto De Zerbi over Antonio Conte, if they decide to sack Inzaghi in the summer. Inzaghi will be at risk of going out if Inter do not qualify for the Champions League next season. So, the Nerazzurri are looking for managers that will be suitable for their squad. Antonio Conte is officially out of Spurs and will be available in the summer. But Inter are eyeing another Premier League manager, De Zerbi.

Antonio Conte helped Inter in winning the Scudetto after more than a decade, but his high demands lead to his departure. The Nerazzurri are still struggling financially and will not be able to meet his demands again. Also, the directors want to look forward to the future, and they consider De Zerbi will be better suited for that. Thiago Motta is another candidate that is on Inter Milan’s list, as he is already performing well in Serie A.

Inter want De Zerbi over Antonio Conte as their next manager

Roberto De Zerbi took over Graham Potter at Brighton and has done a brilliant job. The Italian manager has experience working in Serie A as he was responsible for the success of Sassuolo in recent years. The former Shakhtar manager nurtured players like Scamacca and Raspadori at Sassuolo. His tactical setups have given him positive results at Brighton against tougher opponents as well. The Brighton players are impressed by his ideology and are always motivated for every game.
Simone Inzaghi has achieved success in Europe, as he helped Inter to win a domestic double last season. Also, Inter missed the Scudetto last season by the slightest of margins. But Inter have some glaring issues that need amendment. Inter’s terrible away record and poor performances against lower opponents this season are a major concern for the directors. Hence, they are actively searching for a suitable replacement.
