Inter Milan want €50 million for Denzel Dumfries and Chelsea, Manchester United have both expressed interest for the Dutch defender. The Nerazzurri are not decreasing their valuation of the player. Dumfries has made a name for himself as one of the top full-backs in Serie A since joining Inter Milan from PSV Eindhoven two years ago. Even before his move to San Siro, he was one of the top right-backs on the global stage. His stocks have continued to rise over the past two seasons.

Dumfries has made a strong start this season, contributing two goals and four assists in 13 appearances. His consistent performance on the field has kept him in high demand in the transfer market. Big clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are expressing their interest in his services. Chelsea has had a longstanding interest in Dumfries and was pursuing him before securing Malo Gusto’s services earlier this year. Gusto’s arrival at Stamford Bridge may raise questions about Chelsea’s pursuit of Dumfries. But the potential departure of Reece James, who has drawn interest from Real Madrid, could open door for Dumfries.

Manchester United’s interest in Dumfries is also justifiable, given the lack of a proper first-choice right-back, with neither Diogo Dalot nor Aaron Wan-Bissaka consistently impressing in the role. Dumfries presents a viable solution and Ten Hag knows his qualities.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United possess the financial power to meet Inter Milan’s €50 million asking price. However, it remains to be seen if the Serie A giants will indeed part ways with the Dutch full-back as he is a crucial member of the squad. Both Premier League giants could enter a bidding war for Dumfries to further increase his evaluation. Inter will be willing to let go of him if they find a proper backup for him.
