Lautaro says Inter had control over Milan in Derby

Lautaro says Inter had control since the first minute in the Derby Della Madonnina. Inter are now five points ahead of their city rivals and could get back in the title race if they stay consistent. Lautaro assured that Inter will do everything they can to catch the league leaders Napoli. The Argentine again stepped up to score the winning goal following a corner. The Nerazzurri were excellent from set-pieces, as they created several chances in the first half from corners.

AC Milan deployed a different lineup this time, as Pioli went with a back three. The former Inter manager was trying to match Inter Milan’s formation. So, he decided to keep Leao on the bench and start Origi ahead to partner with Dzeko. The World Cup winner Lautaro said “they had a feeling” that they were in charge since the start of the game. Inzaghi and his team were focused on their tactics and did not care about Milan’s formation change.

Inzaghi was happy with the performance of every player in his team, as they managed to keep their lead intact. Inter Milan have struggled to defend their lead this season, as their defense has a lapse in concentration all of a sudden. Pioli decided to change his setup later in the second half. But, Inter were able to cope with the Rossoneri’s changed tactics. Napoli have been on a terrific run this season. Usually, they drop off in the second half of the season, but they have been on another level this season.

The Argentine forward further added that he is comfortable playing with anyone at the front. All three partners- Dzeko, Lukaku, and Correa have different qualities. Dzeko likes to drop deep while Lukaku stretches the backline, and Correa links up well with him.
