Lazaro could return to Inter, after his loan spell

Lazaro could return to Inter and get a second chance under Conte. Calcio Mercato said Monchengladbach were unlikely to exercise their option to buy the Austrian on a permanent deal for € 12-13 million in the summer. Lazaro’s most likely future now is a return to Inter. Here Conte remains a fan of the 25-year-old despite a difficult first season in Serie A.

Conte and Lazaro have been in contact on several occasions this season. Also, Inter have no intention of selling the wing-back on the cheap. Inter signed Lazaro for € 20 million from Hertha BSC in the summer of 2019. But he struggled to settle in and spend the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United. He now seems likely to follow in the footsteps of Ivan Perisic, or rather return to Inter after a one-season loan in the Bundesliga.

Lazaro could return to Inter this summer

Lazaro is a right midfielder and he could be a decent backup to Hakimi. So, Inter would not have to add a backup in their summer list. Lazaro was born in Graz, Austria, to an Angolan father and a Greek mother. He made his full debut for Red Bull Salzburg on 3 November 2012 against Admira Wacker in the league. At 16 years and 224 days, he became the youngest player ever in the history of the Austrian Bundesliga. Lazaro’s loan deal from Red Bull Salzburg to Hertha BSC was permanent in 2017. He was signed on a long term deal at the Bundesliga club. He scored his first goal for Hertha BSC in a 2–0 away win against Bayer Leverkusen on 10 February 2018.

Lazaro has struggled with physical problems at Borussia Monchengladbach. So, this is said to have made them very perplexed about the idea of making his loan deal permanent.
