Lucien Agoume move to Sevilla on a loan

Inter Milan’s young talent, Lucien Agoume, has completed a move to Sevilla, as officially confirmed by the Spanish club. The 21-year-old Frenchman’s transfer comes in the form of a loan deal with an option for Sevilla to make the move permanent next year.

Agoume has not been able to get enough game time in the current season. He finds himself at the bottom of Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order at Inter Milan. Seven players in the midfield department stood ahead of him in the hierarchy. So his appearances are down to just one late cameo in the 4-0 victory over Salernitana at the Arechi Stadium in Salerno.

Lucien Agoume loan move to Sevilla confirmed by the club

The French midfielder initially joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2019, to start his professional journey after coming from Sochaux. Over the past three seasons, Agoume gained experience on loan at Spezia, Brest, and Troyes. While attempts were made to secure him a new destination in the summer window, a move did not materialize. But in the recent weeks both Olympique Marseille and Sevilla expressed interest in the French midfielder.

Sevilla emerged victorious in the competition for Agoume’s services, securing a loan deal with an option to buy. The terms of the agreement leave open the possibility for Sevilla to make the move permanent at the end of the season for a reported fee of around 8 million euros. Notably, Inter Milan have also included a buy-back clause in the agreement. So they have the option to bring Agoume back to the San Siro.

Lucien Agoume will embark on this new chapter with Sevilla for the remaining coming months. It will reveal whether he becomes a permanent part of the Spanish club. Or he could return to Inter Milan based on the terms of the agreement between the two clubs.
