Marseille want Arturo Vidal in the summer

Marseille want Arturo Vidal in the summer. The Inter midfielder is being linked with Marseille, Flamengo, and Galatasaray at the moment. He has had a disappointing first season with the Nerazzurri. Fc Inter News have revealed it is Marseille who are keenest on signing Vidal in the summer. Also, they are now coached by his former Chile boss, Jorge Sampaoli.

Vidal could be keen to arrange a reunion with Sampaoli in Ligue 1. This will give him a chance to try a new league after having experience in La Liga, the Bundesliga and Serie A. So, Inter will assess Vidal’s future in the summer with the 33-year-old contracted to the club until the end of next season. They are looking for William Carvalho to replace him. Wolves and West Bromwich had shown interest in the Portuguese. But, they opt out and Inter are in line for a potential move. Carvalho spent most of his time with Sporting CP. Further, he made his first-team debut at the age of 18. He appeared in 192 matches for the club and won the 2015 Taca de Portugal.

Marseille want Arturo Vidal, but their president played down interest

Fc Inter News have reported that Marseille’s president Pablo has played down interest. He told Canal that signing the 33-year-old is not a priority for them. Longoria is has told the French broadcaster that Vidal’s salary is too expensive for Marseille. Although he did confirm that Sampaoli had made contact with Vidal recently. Flamengo and Galatasaray were also keen on moves for the Chile midfielder in today’s papers. But Vidal is under contract at Inter until the end of next season.

The former Barcelona midfielder has lost his place in Antonio Conte’s starting XI at Inter due to his inconsistent performances and lots of fitness problems. He is also past his prime. Christian Eriksen took over his position in midfield last month.
