Brozovic late winner gives Inter all three points at the Meazza. The Nerazzurri had to battle till the end to secure a home win after disappointing loses in recent games. Inzaghi made several changes after the loss to Bayern in the Champions League. The Italian tactician brought the Inter captain back between the posts. Handanovic did a terrific job as he saved seven shots on goal to keep Inter in the game.
Torino had a good start to the game as they enjoyed some spells of possession in the Inter half. Also, the Turin side were pressing aggressively while Inter looked tired after their Champions League game during the week. Inter were slow in their build up and were struggling to give the final ball.
Torino had the best chance in the first-half as Linetty found Vlasic, who is in brilliant form. The Croatian drilled a low shot but Handanovic managed to keep the ball away with his leg. Lautaro fired a couple of shots but all were off target as Inter did not create enough chances.

Handanovic had to make another crucial save in the beginning of the second half. The Inter captain managed to save Sanabria’s header. Few minutes later, Sanabria got a red card after a reckless challenge on Calhanoglu as his hand hit the Turkish midfielder’s eye. But after VAR intervention the referee turned his decision to a yellow.
Inter then made several changes as they were struggling to unlock Torino’s defense. Correa brought some spark in attack after coming from the bench for Dzeko. Lautaro had a brilliant chance to score the opener in the 68th minute as he flicked the ball over Torino’s defense but his shot was blocked. Correa played a wonderful dummy in the 73rd minute, but Lautaro could not give the ball back to his Argentine teammate.
Inter finally got their winner in the 89th minute as Barella found Brozovic in the box. The Croatian made a late run in the box and controlled Barella’s ball. He then chipped his shot over the keeper to score the winner. Inter managed to defend in the stoppage time to secure three points.
