Calhanoglu and Bastoni are willing to renew their contracts with Inter soon. Both of them have more than a year left on their contracts, but they are willing to renew it as they want to stay at Inter. The Nerazzurri also consider them a vital part of the squad and are not going to leave the extension talks till the end. They want to tie both players early, and avoid the headache they are having currently with Skriniar. The Turkish midfielder came in as a free agent and has an additional year option in his contract.
The Nerazzurri are looking to give Calhanoglu a new deal. They will not exercise the option of an additional year from the current contract. Inter Milan want to keep him for longer, till 2026. Doing this, will reduce his wage bill in the balance sheet and will be beneficial for the player and the club. He is an integral part of the midfield. Also, his ability to serve as a backup for Brozovic and play as a regista has added value to his game.

Bastoni had a contract renewal last year and is looking to get a new deal soon. His current contract will run till 2024, but Inter are going to extend his contract, as he has been a consistent performer for Inter in defense. Bastoni is currently representing both Italy and Inter and is a key part of Inzaghi’s system for the future. With Skriniar and De Vrij’s contract issues, Inter want to nail down Bastoni as soon as possible.
The Italian defender’s agent is demanding a higher salary this time of €4.5 million net per season. It will take him closer to the deal Skriniar will be getting if he renews. However, Inter are not going to offer high wages to Bastoni yet. Hence, the negotiations will start early to avoid panic towards the end.
