Chelsea are confident of signing Lukaku from Inter Milan

Chelsea are confident of signing Romelu Lukaku over the weekend. The Blues are ready to break the transfer record in Premier League. Recently, the current champions, Manchester City signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £100 million which is the most expensive signing in English football history. But Chelsea are ready to overtake this as they are going to make a bid of around £120 million for Lukaku. Inter Milan’s board is against this transfer as they want to keep the Belgian. Simeone Inzaghi is furious as well because when he became Inter’s manager, he was told that only one key player will be sold. But now, the Suning are forcing Inter’s board to sell Lukaku.

The Belgian has been pivotal for the Nerazzurri’s success recently. He has scored 47 goals for Inter Milan so far in 72 appearances. This has certainly increased his transfer market value. Inter have said before that they will not sell Lukaku at any cost but Chelsea are offering a huge amount. The Suning said that they wanted €80 million profit in this summer’s transfer window. Inter have managed to get €71 million by selling their one key player, Achraf Hakimi. The Inter board are looking to resign next season when their contract expires as Suning are just looking to earn profits from the club.

Chelsea are confident of signing Romelu Lukaku as Tuchel wants him

Thomas Tuchel told Chelsea board that he wants a star striker in this transfer window. So they were working to sign Haaland but could not convince Borussia Dortmund. So they turned their focus towards Romelu Lukaku. Their first bid of £100 million with Marcos Alonso was rejected but they might be able to succeed with their new bid.

Chelsea will get a deduction of £1.7 million as they had Lukaku before. Manchester United will also receive 4% of the final fee as they had a sell-on clause.
