Inter were waiting to sell Sanchez first as the Chilean has enormous wages and was blocking Dybala’s transfer. The Nerazzurri brought Lukaku on loan, so they had to sell at least one forward before bringing another. Dybala’s transfer would have been perfect as Inzaghi’s system is tailor-made for him. But Inter could not sell Sanchez on time, and Roma made their move. Inter had an agreement with Dybala, but the Argentine could not wait any longer.

Jose did not hide his intention to sign Dybala before as the former Inter boss called Dybala multiple times. He has spoken with Dybala in the past and said that he would like to coach him someday. Also, the Argentine will soon undergo his medicals in Portugal as he took the flight from Torino in Roma’s private jet. AS Roma might sell Zaniolo as he is keen to move to Juve.
