Inter and Juve eye Thiago from Liverpool

Inter Milan and Juve eye Thiago Alcantara as both Italian giants are looking to improve their midfield quality. Thiago has been out since April but is looking for a return to the Liverpool side in January. However, the former Bayern midfielder is looking for a move away from Liverpool now. His stint at the Merseyside club has been filled with injuries. But both Inter and Juventus want to bring him in as he has the experience and quality to elevate any midfield.

The Italy-born midfielder did not play in Italy, as he started his career in Brazil in Flamengo. However, his roots are in Italy, and would be willing to move to Serie A to add another league to his experience. Thiago has played in other top leagues, as he spent time at Barcelona and Bayern. However, he never really settled in the Premier League, but Liverpool does like the luxury of having him. But they are willing to let him go because of his high wages.

Inter and Juve eye Thiago but are wary of high wages

The Liverpool midfielder earns €12 million at Liverpool, which is way more than the budget both the Serie A giants have. The Nerazzurri have already offered a deal to Thiago according to reports, but with wages way less than €12 million. Inter likes to bring free agents, and Thiago will elevate their midfield quality with his technical abilities. However, the former Barca midfielder will be turning 33 in April. Also, his injury record is a worry for the Italian clubs.

Inter and Juventus are leading the Serie A table currently, with Inter two points ahead of them. However, both will battle in the Derby d’Italia and Inter will hope to continue with their form. Both the clubs are looking to put their foot down for Thiago, but will not accept his high wage demands.
