Inter were targeting the former Sassuolo striker in previous windows as well. But he made the move to Premier League last summer. However, Scamacca could not meet his expectations and struggled in the physical league. Moreover, his profile did not suit David Moyes’ system at West Ham, and the London club had a poor season. Scamacca was often alone in the front line, and could not showcase his talent.
Inzaghi needs a striker like Scamacca, as the Italian forward will complement the other two strikers. Both Thuram and Lautaro like to make runs in behind and cause trouble to defenses with their pace. Meanwhile, Scamacca likes to drop and link up by playing passes in the channel. His tall physique makes him a perfect focal point to progress the attacks. Inter can use him just like they did Dzeko.
