Esposito put himself back in the transfer window last weekend by scoring his first goal on loan for Venezia. He joined them on loan for six months in the January transfer window. Inter can not afford to wait too long for their young players to blossom at this moment in time. So they could look to sell the striker for around € 10 million.
Esposito’s final few games on loan at Venezia will be crucial to determining his future. He has the potential to become Italy’s brightest young forwards. Inter could even leave Esposito on loan with Joe’s club for another season if Venezia were to secure promotion to Serie A, although Sampdoria and Sassuolo are certainly making it clear that they are interested.
Inter can sell Esposito, but will look to have a buy-back option
Esposito made his professional debut for Inter Milan at 16 years old, on 14 March 2019, in the second leg of the Europa League match against Frankfurt. He came in as a substitute for Borja. In fact, he became the youngest player ever to feature in a European competition match for the club. In the following season, on 23 October 2019, he made his debut in the Champions League. It was a group stage match against Dortmund. He became the first player born in 2002. On October 26, he made his Serie A debut, aged 17. On December 21 2019, Esposito scored his first goal for Inter. Sampdoria and Sassuolo are both keen on investing in the 18-year-old and have made contacts with the Nerazzurri about a deal. Both clubs have the economic resources to sign Esposito on a permanent deal. But Inter would want a buy-back option for the next two seasons so they did not lose control of his future completely.
