Inter contact Lukaku’s lawyer to extend loan deal

Inter Milan contact Lukaku’s lawyer to begin the procedure of extending his loan deal from Chelsea. The Nerazzurri have decided that they want to keep the Belgian at Inter for at least one more season. However, they are going to reduce the loan fee this time, as they spent €8 million in the summer to acquire him for a season-long loan deal. Chelsea no longer have Lukaku in their plans. They have signed several forwards to help in attack, including Nkunku, who will arrive in the summer.

The Nerazzurri were not planning to extend Lukaku’s loan deal, as the Belgian has been a disappointment in his return to the club. The former Man United striker was just a shadow of his former self. He helped Inter to win the Scudetto after more than a decade. He had serious injury issues, and could not get into his usual form. But in recent games, there has been improvement, as Lukaku has worked on his fitness, and his performances have helped Inter. He was specifically good against Atalanta in Coppa Italia.

Inter Milan contact Lukaku’s lawyer to begin talks with Chelsea

The Nerazzurri got in touch with Sebastien Ledure, who will help in arranging talks with Chelsea. Inter Milan would ideally like to pay around half of the fee they did in the summer. The Belgian is adamant about staying at Inter, which has helped Inter to drive talks forward. Moreover, Inter know Chelsea do not want Lukaku back, so they will negotiate wisely.

After a disappointing World Cup, and the poor first half of the season, Inter did not want to extend Lukaku’s loan. But the Belgian striker has picked up form and is pairing up with Lautaro nicely at front. So, Inter are ready to give another shot to Lukaku, who has performed well for them in the past.
