Inter eye Tomiyasu but Arsenal want to keep him

Inter Milan eye Tomiyasu as they are seeking Skriniar’s replacement in the transfer window. The Nerazzurri are interested in the Arsenal defender, as he can operate in the right center-back position. Moreover, he is versatile and can play on the flanks too. However, the Gunners want to keep him and have him in their plans. But the situation can change if they go for another full-back in the transfer market.

Inter have already signed a defender in this transfer window, however, he is not most suited for Skriniar’s role. Yann Bisseck can be a backup option, and he will be more compatible with Bastoni’s position. Bisseck is still raw and will need some time to become a regular starter.

Meanwhile, Tomiyasu was brilliant for Arsenal and played a key role in their success last season. The Japanese defender also has relevant experience playing in Serie A, as he served for Bologna for a couple of seasons.

Inter Milan eye Tomiyasu as Skriniar’s replacement

Inter played most of the last season without Skriniar, and still managed to win two trophies domestically and were the runners-up in the Champions League. But Inzaghi wants to have cover in the coming season. They have signed Cuadrado so Darmian can focus on Skriniar’s role, which he took up brilliantly last season. However, Inter need more solidity in the backline so they are eyeing Tomiyasu on loan.

The Nerazzurri are not prioritizing this signing as they have other transfer targets to go after. Inter have to sign a keeper soon, as they have lost three keepers in this transfer window. Moreover, the pre-season is about to end, and Inzaghi would like to have a solution before the season starts. They are also targeting a forward, as Lukaku has left, and Correa could also be sold in this window.
