Inter eye Torino striker Belotti as a possible target

Inter eye Torino striker Andrea Belotti. The Nerazzurri’s prime target is Joaquin Correa but they are also expanding their options if Lazio does not accept their offer. In this way, Inter are looking to put pressure on Lazio as they are ready with a plan B. Belotti would be cheaper than Correa and Torino will sell him easily. The Italian striker was part of Italy’s Euro 2020 winning squad. He was a useful option for Mancini as Belotti shared the workload with Immobile. The Italian is a number 9, unlike Correa who is more of a second striker. So Belotti can be a backup for Edin Dzeko and can start some games as well, considering his quality.

Andrea Belotti is a strong, young and quick striker. Belotti is fast and has great finishing qualities. His contract will end in 2022 and has not decided to sign a contract extension yet. In negotiation, Torino asked for €20 million Belotti initially but Inter were successful to get them down to €15 million. Now Inter will talk with Belotti’s agent to discuss the personal terms. They are looking to give Belotti a long contract.

If Inter completes the signing of Belotti then they will not look back to Correa. But, Simeone Inzaghi wants to bring the Argentine forward to his team as he likes him. The Italian tactician has developed Correa for 3 years and wants to fit him in his new club. The Argentine is aware of Inzaghi’s tactics so he will walk right into his team.

Lazio are searching for Correa’s replacement and are looking to sign Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt. But first, they will have to sell the Argentine. Also, Correa wants to reunite with his former manager Inzaghi.
