Inter strikers were on fire in World Cup Qualifiers

Inter Milan’s strikers were on fire yesterday in World Cup qualifiers. Joaquin Correa, Lautaro Martinez and Dzeko, all scored a goal each. Correa and Martinez managed to get the victory for Argentina 3-1 against a 10-man Venezuela. While Dzeko’s goal got Bosnia a draw against a strong French side at La Meinau Stadium.

He scored his 60th international goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina at an international level. So after a sloppy pass from France, Dzeko got a chance and he struck the ball well from outside the box to give them the lead. But, Antoine Griezmann scored an equalizer, 3 minutes later. Jules Kounde, from France, got a red card in the 51st minute but France managed to defend well to get a draw.

For Argentina, a red card in the 32nd minute to Venezuela’s Luis Martinez gave Argentina more freedom to dominate the game. A good quick through ball to Lautaro Martinez by Lo Celso broke the deadlock. Lautaro pointed and asked for the ball from the Spurs midfielder who placed it for him and Martinez struck the bottom corner. This gave Argentina the lead by the end of the first half. In the 2nd half, the game was slow as Argentina had the majority of possession (73%). So, Scaloni made some substitutions which turned out well. He introduced Joaquin Correa, Angel Correa and Paulo Dybala. Joaquin Correa managed to score a goal and Lautaro Martinez gave him the assist. A series of one-touch passing gave some space to Correa to make a run and Lautaro touched the ball to Correa who finished near the bottom corner.

The goals will definitely give confidence to Lautaro, Correa and Dzeko who were already in great form. Also, Lautaro and Correa’s link-up will be helpful for Inter too.
