The Nerazzurri had Pavard on their radar, and are now looking to go after him again. They want to use the funds accumulated for Samardzic to get another addition. Inzaghi wants another defender ahead of the long season. A serious injury to anyone in the backline can hinder Inter’s performance.
The Nerazzurri will have to face stiff competition from Man United as Ten Hag wants another defender as well. The Red Devils are looking to sell Maguire and want a defender to replace him. Also, Pavard’s versatility will help Ten Hag to implement his style of play. The French defender is excellent on the ball and plays a big role in Bayern Munich to play out from the back.
The Nerazzurri stopped their search for a defender, as they were looking to sign a midfielder and a forward. However, Inter now want to get another center back after Samardzic’s deal collapsed. But Inter will have to move fast as the transfer window will close soon, and United could send their proposal.

The Nerazzurri are still looking for a player, who can operate at the right side of the back three. Darmian will do the job for the most part, but they need someone for rotation. Also, Darmian can play in different positions, so Inzaghi would like to play him when if the need arises in different positions.
Pavard is an established defender and will bring more quality to Inter’s backline. Moreover, his experience of playing at the highest level will help him to settle well into the club. The Nerazzurri have other options on the radar, but none of them seem feasible at the moment.
