Inter vs Juventus Semi-Final, Inter have problems for team selection
Antonio Conte has a couple of fresh roster issues hampering his preparations ahead of the game. He will be bereft of the services of his two essential players, Lukaku and Hakimi. Two of the top three goal scorers for Inter this season are suspended for this match. While Sanchez can come in place of Lukaku, he doesn’t provide the goal threat of that level. Inter struggle to build-up and get up the pitch in absence of Lukaku. Not to mention the time he buys for other players to make runs into the box. Moreover, Darmian, who is likely to replace Hakimi, doesn’t pose a great threat from the right flank. To compensate for Darmian’s lack of end product, Conte will depend on Young or Perisic from the left flank. The onus will also be on Barella to provide the creative impetus from the centre of the park.
Conte will like to set up a tight and compact structure in the defensive phase to restrict Juventus from moving forward. Also, hit them on the counter with the pace of Lautaro or Barella. Unlike his counterpart, Andrea Pirlo will be a relieved man with most of his players available except for Dybala. However, he needs to find a solution to break Inter’s mid-block. Also, it would be interesting to see how he will set up his team to contain the Nerazzurri’s threat on the counter-attack.
