Man United target Dumfries for the summer transfer window and are willing to offer Victor Lindelof in return. The Nerazzurri are ready to sell Dumfries to generate funds for a center back, as Skriniar is leaving on a free transfer to Paris Saint Germain. While, Erik Ten Hag is a big admirer of Dumfries, and is eyeing him since the winter transfer window. The Red Devils are looking to sign him in the summer, as they want to upgrade their right-back position.
Inter have to generate profit before June, so the sale of Dumfries will help them to balance their books. Moreover, the Dutch wing-back has immense interest from the Premier League, so other clubs could come in to start a bidding war. Inter also have to buy a defender in the summer to fill the void left by Skriniar. Lindelof is a competent defender, but he might struggle to fill Skriniar’s shoes.
Man United target Dumfries and offer Lindelof in a swap deal
Erik Ten Hag is happy with Lindelof, but the Swede defender wants to move to a club that gives him more game time. Inzaghi will give him more chances, but he would have to adapt to a new league and settle in a back-three system. The former Benfica defender has been at Old Trafford since 2017 and has grown accustomed to Premier League. The Swede defender is good on the ball and will help Inter in progressing the ball forward from the back.
Manchester United are also looking to sell one of Dalot or Wan-Bissaka. The English defender has recovered his form but still has his limitation in going forward. While, Dumfries will bring a new line of attack with his late runs into the box. Also, his pace helps him to get past the opposition full-back with ease.
