Inter and Barca discuss four transfers this summer

Inter and Barca discuss four possible transfers that could take place in the summer transfer window. The Nerazzurri have been in contact with the Catalan club for the Kessie deal. Barcelona President Joan Laporta and sporting director Mateu Almany came to Porto earlier this week. They had a meeting with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Ausilio, who came to watch the Champions League clash against Porto. They have had contacts over a swap deal of Brozovic and Kessie before.

The Nerazzurri have been targeting Kessie for quite some time now, as he had a terrific last season with AC Milan. The Ivorian midfielder can play in different positions and will bring more physicality to Inter’s lineup. The former AC Milan midfielder has struggled to get regular game time at Barca. However, he is slowly proving his worth. While, Brozovic wants to leave Inter, as his relationship has deteriorated with the Nerazzurri. Also, Barca are interested in signing the Croatian midfielder, so a swap deal could happen in the summer.

Inter and Barca discuss four transfers, including Alba and Umtiti

The swap deal between Marcelo Brozovic and Frank Kessie was a major topic of discussion during their meeting. But Barcelona and Inter also talked about the transfers of Jordi Alba and Samuel Umtiti. The Nerazzurri are in search of a defender in the summer transfer window. Umtiti has some Serie A experience as he is currently on loan at Lecce. Inter could bring the French defender to help in sorting out their backline in the summer.
Simone Inzaghi also needs a backup option in the left flank, and Jordi Alba is a good option. The Spanish full-back has the experience and is still impressive offensively when the team is in possession. Also, the Nerazzurri are willing to sell Gosens if a good offer comes.
