Benjamin Pavard declares he has improved and has had a run of good performances ever since he joined Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri were looking for a defender to fill the void left by Milan Skriniar in the summer. Inter had plenty of options and was searching for the right candidate, as Skriniar’s shoes were big to fill. Inter was looking to go ahead with Darmian playing at the right side of the back three as the Italian defender did a great job in the last season. But they decided to bring Pavard after constant negotiations.
The French defender was happy with his performance and thanked Didier Deschamps for playing him as a center-back. Pavard explained that he is more comfortable playing as a center-back, and not as a right-back. The Nerazzurri use him as a center-back as well and expect him to come forward and support when required to make overloads in the right flank.

Bayern were reluctant to let go of Pavard as he is an exceptional defender. The French defender is excellent with the ball at his feet and likes to contribute in every way. The Nerazzurri were looking for a defender like him, as Pavard had to move the ball forward. Bayern was looking for Pavard’s replacement first as the French defender played a crucial role in the Bundesliga side. But Pavard wanted to join Inter, and the Nerazzurri were keen to get him, so the transfer took place at the end of the window.
The French defender was recovering from his injury when he joined Inter, but he has played games for them post his recovery. Now Pavard is putting together a string of good performances. Inzaghi has helped him to settle in the team, and Pavard’s playstyle will help him to excel in Serie A.
