16 Inter players called up for International duty in this International break. The Nerazzurri ended a successful transfer window yesterday with key arrivals of Achraf Hakimi and Arturo Vidal. The window also saw Diego Godin leaving for Cagliari. Moreover, the International break will bring a much-needed respite to the Inter camp after a flurry of games. 14 out of 16 players will join senior sides while Bastoni and Pinamonti will join Italy U21 side.

In the recent past, the Nerazzurri have managed to churn out a good number of international players. Especially the likes of Bastoni and Barella are a class act. Christian Eriksen will get some much-needed game time in this break with Denmark. The Danish international is finding it difficult to make a place for himself at Inter. With Arturo Vidal’s arrival this summer, Eriksen’s Nerazzurri adventure can be over unless he makes a solid comeback.

Antonio Conte will look to make the most of this break. Inter have conceded a lot more goals than Conte normally likes. This will certainly keep him up at night and he will also want to fix it. In their last game against Lazio, the Nerazzurri looked solid defensively. The three-man defensive often gives up when the opposition attack tries to stretch it. Conte knows that he can’t win the Scudetto without a solid defence.
