Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku as they want him back in the squad. However, Lukaku is an important part of Inter and it is unlikely of them to give their prized asset away. Lukaku was a part of Chelsea in his early days. He started his career in football with Lierse as he was a part of their youth academy. However, after Lierse were relegated, Anderlecht bought 13 players from Lierse and Lukaku was one of them. The Belgian grew unstoppably with 131 goals in 93 matches in three years.

Lukaku became a regular player for Anderlecht’s first team in the 2009-10 season. Furthermore, he scored his first senior goal Zulte Waregem in the 89th minute after coming in as a substitute for Kanu. In August 2011, Lukaku joined the Premier League club, Chelsea. The reported transfer fee rounded up to €20 million in add-ons. He got the number 18 shirt and signed a five-year contract with the Blues. Further, he scored his debut goal in a 3-1 victory against Norwich City coming in as a substitute for Fernando Torres in the 83rd minute.

Chelsea have regretted their decisions of selling several players over the years. More so, those players have performed exceptionally well with other clubs. And Lukaku is one such player. The Belgian has tasted success at Inter ever since he has become a part of it. He has become an essential part of Inter and there is hardly any chance of them letting him go.

While Inter would be keen to keep him with them, Lukaku also is happy at Inter. He has become the world’s top striker over the years and would like to continue his impressive stats. Chelsea are looking for a forward and Lukaku fits right into the marks. On the other hand, Manchester City are also looking to sign Lukaku as a replacement for their star player Aguero. Since Aguero’s contract ends this season, he might want a move away. However, there are minimal to no chances of a possible move away for the main man of the Nerazzurri.
