Chelsea to sign Skriniar if Kounde decides to leave for Barcelona. The Blues have given a bid to Sevilla for the French defender, but the player is keen to play for Barca. It comes as no surprise that Chelsea wants a defender from the market after losing their two defenders to La Liga giants. They have signed a Serie A star defender Koulibaly and are now looking to sign another one.
Skriniar has been linked with a move to Chelsea in this window but the Blues have not made a formal bid yet. Now if they lose Kounde, the Blues will make a move to sign Skriniar as he is one of the best defenders available. However, after losing out on Bremer, Inter are reluctant to let go of their star defender. But if the Blues come up with a convincing bid, they might get the Slovenian defender. Inter have to generate a net profit of €60 million before next year and Skriniar’s sale will help in that.

But they might get pressure from owners if a good offer comes to the table. Even Bastoni has said that he would like Skriniar to stay as he has Inter Milan’s spirit.
Tuchel wants depth in his backline as Thiago Silva will turn 38 in September. Also, to play in a back three he will need some backup defenders, and Azpilicueta is also looking to leave. Skriniar can excel in his system and cement his position at the right side of back three. But they will have to pay the right price to sign him from Inter Milan.
