Eriksen to begin with medical tests in Milan

Christian Eriksen to begin with medical tests in Milan. The Dane has returned to Milan yesterday and will undergo some medical tests which will tell about his future in football. The 29-year old has been recovering in Denmark for the past few weeks. Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest in his first game in the UEFA Euros 2020 against Finland. He thankfully got urgent medical attention which helped the doctors of Copenhagen to save him. He is now stable and has had some rest in his hometown. The Dane has got a defibrillator after surgery. So because of this, he would not be able to play in Serie A.

According to the Cardiological Organizational Committee for Sports, Fitness protocol does not allow any player to play in Serie A if he has a defibrillator. The Dane received a warm welcome from Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta. He will now meet Inter’s medical staff and begin his tests for the next 48 hours. The main purpose of these tests is to find whether Christian Eriksen can play without the defibrillator or not. The 29-year old will also meet with his teammates today at the club’s pre-season training. Inter have already signed Hakan Calhanoglu from their city rivals as a replacement for Eriksen.

Eriksen was a key player for Inter in the 2nd half of last season as he understood Conte’s system. He had a tough time before as he was not able to adjust in Serie A immediately. Now if he can’t get the defibrillator out, he might have to move to another league.

But if Eriksen passes the medical tests then he can return to Inter Milan and play for them in Serie A. Inzaghi likes the Dane and has told before that he should take some rest and recover properly.
