Inter 3-1 AS Roma: Lukaku shines again

Inter Milan played like the champions and won the game 3-1 against AS Roma at the San Siro. For Inter, there wasn’t much on the line except for some players who would want to impress the board to keep them for next season. So, Inter came to enjoy themselves and players like Vecino and Darmian were impressive. Also, it was nice to see Inter debuting in their 4th kit.

Meanwhile for Roma, this match was crucial for them to give a chance to get in Europa. But now they are finally out of it. Inter 3-1 AS Roma, Roma tried hard but could not beat the champions

AS Roma were rusty in the start, they had to defend some attacks which they did until the 11th minute when the ball went out wide to Darmian who started in place of Hakimi, gave a perfect diagonal ball to Brozovic who slotted it out of the keeper’s reach. Now, Roma woke up after the first goal and were having more possession and control of the game. But right at that moment, they lost the ball and Lukaku got a wonderful ball over the top and patiently gave the ball to Vecino to score an inevitable goal.

But, finally Roma scored, thanks to Dzeko and Mkhitaryan telepathy. In 2nd half Fonseca got Pedro out and El Shaarawy who played after a long time. He created some chances but Roma couldn’t capitalise on that. Roma tried a lot in this half but couldn’t catch up with Inter in this exhausting match. This led to the goal in the end, a typical counter-attack as Hakimi ran yards to pull back for Lukaku who finished to seal the game. Now Roma will have only Serie A to play for next season.
